I live and work in Taylors Falls Minnesota where I have been a resident since 2008. Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, I studied art at the University of Wisconsin River Falls and received my MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

A  McKnight Foundation Fellowship recipient, my work is found in numerous public and private collections in the Midwest. Some highlights are the McDonald’s corporate collection in Chicago and the ImageMover’s office of filmmaker Robert Zemeckis in Los Angeles. I have also done public art commissions for the City of Taylors Falls and Wadena and Lino Lakes, MN for the State of Minnesota.  Other works may be found in many private collections in the beautiful St. Croix River Valley.

The purpose of my work is to transform my ordinary daily experiences of life into a meaningful body of work. So sitting and socializing at the local coffee shop, walking my dog around town, road trips, these are my subjects. My work is based on observations (photography and drawing) of people and places and the translation of that into the process of painting. I’m trying to find meaning in the everyday occurrences in my life. My work becomes a highly personal vision of where I live and a celebration of that experience.
